Priscila Norris, MS, MSW, LCSW

 Priscila Norris is a  mental health professional dedicated to helping people become their best selves. She believes that every person deserves the opportunity to be free from suffering and emotional pain. But beyond that, she believe that everyone deserves the chance to lead a healthy and meaningful life. Priscila's approach to psychotherapy is simple: "We foster within you the power to change the things in your life that are causing you to be distressed or feel emotionally imbalanced. I believe in taking a holistic approach - or treating the whole person- to enhance your quality of life and overall well-being and in being strength-based in interventions".

Her areas of expertise include anxiety, trauma, mood disorders, sleep problems, chronic stress, and phase of life and relationship  issues.  Priscila is a Mind-Body expert and utilizes mindfulness-based practices and interventions such as meditation, gentle Yoga, and Yoga Nidra, as well as a variety of evidence-based models, such as CBT and DBT, to address various complex clinical needs.

She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of North Carolina. Her formal education includes a masters degree in Psychology, a masters degree in Social Work, and a graduate certificate in Military and Trauma Counseling from East Carolina University. She have also received training on Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction from Duke University, and Yoga for Mental Health Professionals from Subtle Body. She have worked in a variety of settings, such as community mental health agencies and at military installations, and with a variety of populations, such as veterans and individuals with developmental disabilities.

Priscila is a member of the National Association of Social Workers and served as a member of the Board of Directors for 4 years, with the most recent position of First Vice-President, as well as on state and national committees with the association. 

Priscila founded Thrivemind Counseling and Wellness with the goal of providing holistic care and mind-body approached to mental health to her own community. Her home and private practice are in Onslow County, and she travels all over North Carolina providing training, facilitating workshops, and speaking at conferences and symposia. She is a life-long student and practitioner of Yoga and meditation practices.

Maria Donaty-Gurba, RN, LCSW, LCASA

Maria is a native of New Jersey; she holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work and is an EMDR trained Trauma Therapist, facilitator of Dr. Richard Miller’s i-Rest/Yoga Nidra, and meditation instructor. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist, as well as a Registered Nurse and Duke Certified Health Coach. She has been in the addiction field since 2015, working with adults and families, as well as veterans and has a passion for working with trauma. 

She has 25 years of experience in healthcare and her journey over the past 25 plus years has been to continue learning and growing while living her life’s purpose—to assist others to achieve their highest selves.  She utilizes a strength-based approach and deeply values the therapeutic relationship as well as the use of evidence-based modalities. Treatment approaches include use brief solution focused therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, EMDR/trauma therapy, mindfulness and stress management techniques, client-centered therapy, art and play therapy techniques, marriage/family therapy, and parent education and training. 

A member of the National Association of Social Workers and American Holistic Nurses Association, Maria has lived in Eastern North Carolina with her husband and daughter for 26 years. Maria firmly, and emphatically, believes as did Ralph Waldo Emerson that “It is one of the most beautiful compensations of this life that you cannot sincerely try to help another without helping yourself”.


Tanisha Rolle, MSW, LCSWA

Tanisha A. Rolle enjoys working with her patients to ensure they reach their full potential when under her care.  She graduated with a Master in Social Work from NC Central University.  

She is proficient in systemic mental health assessment, diagnosis  and  treatment.  Tanisha has extensive experience in working with adolescents and their families. 

 Prior to pursuing her dream career as a licensed clinical social  work  Tanisha spent 14 years serving her country in the US Navy.
