

Dr. Priscila Llamosa (formerly Norris)

Dr. Llamosa is a holistic psychotherapist, scholar, speaker, and clinical supervisor. Her areas of expertise include anxiety, trauma, chronic stress, and lifestyle-related issues such as systemic oppression, gender and racial discrimination. Dr. Llamosa integrates mind-body approaches and mindfulness-based practices and interventions with psychotherapy, such as guided meditations and Yoga.
She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of North Carolina and a Board Certified Clinical Supervisor, in addition to being a Registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance. She received her Doctorate in Social Work from the University of Kentucky, and her master's degree in Social Work and graduate certificate in Military and Trauma Counseling from East Carolina University. Dr. Llamosa is also trained in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction from Duke University and Yoga for Mental Health Professionals from Subtle Yoga®️. She has worked in a variety of settings, such as community mental health agencies and military installations, and with a variety of populations, such as veterans and individuals with developmental disabilities.
In addition to her role as a mental health provider, Dr. Llamosa is an Assistant Professor at the University of Kentucky College of Social Work and a member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW), where she serves as a co-chair of the Onslow County Local Program Unit and on committees. She is a past vice president of the NASW North Carolina Board of Directors and has served on state and national committees.
